I decided to use
NetNewsWireLite some months ago, after having reviewed some aggregators. But yesterday I found
this list on wikipedia. I tested almost all aggregators listed in the "Mac OS X" section, and I was pretty disappointed, except for one,
Vienna.
Here is my first impression:
- A very simple and easy to use UI
- Some advanced features like smart folders and tabbed browsing
- The project is still evolving
But:
- The automatic feed detection is missing
- The refresh is quite slow, (long timeouts maybe)
- The feedlist is sorted alphabetically
So, I won't uninstall NetNewsWireLite today, but
Vienna is already my default aggregator.
